A Rewarding Day in Kremsmünster

The class 1M got first place in the WALK-A-THON and the prize was a trip to Kremsmünster.

We met in front of the school building. The Bim brought us to the Hauptbahnhof. Afterwards, we took the train to Kremsmünster, where we met our tour guide (Sabina Haslinger, not the teacher at our school). She took us into the forest and let us taste stinging nettle; most of us found it fantastic. After that, we had a small break. She gave us some leaves to smell; some smelled horrible. We found a cave, but we were not allowed inside because of the risk of collapsing rocks. We continued our walk up the giant hill (mini mountain!). We passed a farm and arrived at the destination: it was an observation tower. There we stayed for 10 minutes.

We hiked back to the train station. The tour guide gave us some linden leaves to eat, but some children from our class found them disgusting. They are healthy for your heart. After that, we stopped under a bridge and yodelled. At the train station, we got a lot of pizza from Jimmy’s Pizza. Then we hopped on the train and played games on the ride back to school.

Our class had a very funny day. Thanks to the LISA Unterstützungsverein for this great trip.
