Language Check
Assessing Reading and Writing Skills
As part of the admission process, students complete a language check to demonstrate their reading and writing skills in their academic language. This assessment consists of various tasks that can be completed in either German or English.
Students will be asked to read a short text and respond to comprehension questions, as well as produce a written text based on a picture, word prompt, or short passage. This allows them to showcase their ability to structure their thoughts, express ideas clearly, and apply their language skills in a creative and coherent manner.
The language check helps us assess whether students have the necessary proficiency to successfully follow the curriculum and determine if additional language support may be beneficial.
The tasks should be familiar from primary school.
Duration 1 hour
Parent-child Interview
The interview times will be communicated at registration. We would like to get to know you as parents and your child better. For this purpose, you will have a conversation with the teaching team. Parents conduct the interview separately from their child, as the children answer questions and solve a group task in small groups.
